Istruzioni preliminari alla rimozione:

Nota: Alcuni server con dischi cablati in genere devono essere spenti prima di rimuovere il disco

Prima di rimuovere il disco rigido, effettuare le seguenti operazioni:

  1. Rimuovere il pannello anteriore, se installato

Rimozione del disco fisico dal server e dal cassetto

  1. Premere il pulsante di sblocco per aprire la maniglia di rilascio del supporto del disco rigido.
  2. Far scorrere il cassetto per disco rigido finché non si sblocca dallo slot del disco rigido.
Nota: per mantenere adeguato il sistema di raffreddamento, tutti gli slot vuoti del disco rigido devono avere installato l'apposito accessorio di riempimento.
 
  1. Rimuovere le viti dalle guide di scorrimento sul cassetto per disco rigido.
  2. Sollevare il disco rigido per estrarlo dal relativo cassetto.
  3. Se non si intende sostituire immediatamente il disco rigido, inserire un accessorio di riempimento nello slot vuoto.

Nota: Quando viene installato un disco rigido sostitutivo, inizia automaticamente la sua ricostruzione. Accertarsi che il disco rigido sostitutivo sia vuoto.
 

Nota: Il tempo di ricostruzione del disco dipende dalle dimensioni dell'array di cui fa parte il disco.
 
  1. Inserire il disco rigido nel relativo cassetto con l'estremità del connettore del disco rigido verso la parte posteriore.
  2. Allineare i fori delle viti sul disco rigido con i fori posteriori presenti sul cassetto.
  3. Se allineati correttamente, il retro del disco rigido combacerà con il retro del cassetto.
  4. Inserire le viti per fissare il disco rigido al cassetto.
  5. Inserire il cassetto per disco rigido nel relativo slot finché non si collega al backplane.
  6. Chiudere la maniglia del cassetto per disco rigido per bloccare il disco rigido in posizione.
