The Container Storage Interface (CSI) Driver container may not start with the below error.

Container.log:
time="2019-10-25T16:10:07Z" level=fatal msg="failed to listen" error="listen unix /var/lib/kubelet/plugins/vxflexos.emc.dell.com/csi_sock: bind: address already in use"

Affected versions:
CSI Driver for PowerMax 1.0
CSI Driver for PowerMax 1.1
CSI Driver for VxFlex OS 1.0
CSI Driver for VxFlex OS 1.1
CSI Driver for VxFlex OS 1.1.2
CSI Driver for VxFlex OS 1.1.3

Cause

Code issue.

Resolution

Workaround:
There are two workarounds. Choose with solution is best for your environment.
 
Requires reboot
  1. Remove the file under /var/lib/kublet/plugins/vxflexos.emc.dell.com/csi_sock.
  2. Reboot the node.
 
Does not require reboot.
  1. Uninstall the CSI Driver for VxFlex OS. 
  2. Removing the file under /var/lib/kublet/plugins/vxflexos.emc.dell.com/csi_sock, 
  3. Reinstall the driver. (No node reboot is necessary.)
Resolution:
CSI Engineering is addressing this issue, but has not provided a fix in a released patch. This solution will be updated with the patch when it is available.
