Che cos'è Microsoft Windows Defender System Guard Secure Launch?

Microsoft consiglia System Guard per tre obiettivi:
- Per proteggere e mantenere l'integrità del sistema durante l'avvio.
- Per proteggere e mantenere l'integrità del sistema dopo che è in esecuzione.
- Per convalidare che l'integrità del sistema è stata effettivamente mantenuta tramite attestazione locale e remota.
Secure Launch è stato introdotto per la prima volta in Windows 10 (v.1809). Sfrutta una tecnologia nota come Dynamic Root of Trust for Measurement (DRTM).
DRTM consente inizialmente al sistema di avviarsi liberamente in un codice non attendibile. Tuttavia, poco dopo, avvia il sistema in uno stato attendibile assumendo il controllo di tutte le CPU (Central Processing Unit) e forzandole lungo un percorso di codice noto e misurato. Ciò consente al codice UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) iniziale di avviare il sistema, ma poi passa in modo sicuro a uno stato affidabile e misurato.
Microsoft consiglia System Guard Secure Launch di semplificare la gestione delle misurazioni SRTM (Static Root of Trust for Measurement) perché il codice di avvio non è ora correlato a una configurazione hardware specifica. Ciò significa che il numero di misurazioni del codice valide è ridotto e che gli aggiornamenti possono essere distribuiti più rapidamente.
È compatibile con i notebook Dell Latitude?
Di norma:
- Qualsiasi notebook Latitude di ultima generazione lanciato dall'inizio del 2019 con il lancio di Latitude 3300 dovrebbe supportare questa applicazione.
- Tutte le generazioni di notebook Latitude spediti prima della fine del 2018 non supportano questa applicazione.
