PowerFlex 3.6: UI Shows An Alert When Performing An RCG Switchover/Failover
Summary: While performing a Replication Consistency Group (RCG) Switchover or 'Test Failover', the command completes successfully without any error, but the PowerFlex UI, the Presentation Server (PS), shows an alert. ...
Symptoms
While performing an RCG Failover or Switchover, PS shows an alert:
The RCG consistent image is too large to be consumed by the destination in one piece.
After performing a Switchover/Failover, the command completes successfully.
PS shows an alert on Source and Target systems:

There are no errors logged in the MDM show events (/opt/emc/scaleio/mdm/bin/showevents.py).
Impact
No impact
Cause
A false alert is shown by the PS when an RCG is in a Switchover/Failover state.
Resolution
If, after performing the Switchover/Failover, no errors are shown in the MDM show events, it is safe to ignore the alert.
To remove the alert, perform a Restore/Reverse replication. See the documentation (Getting to Know Dell PowerFlex) for more details on restore and reverse replication.
