PowerFlex 3.6: UI Shows An Alert When Performing An RCG Switchover/Failover

Symptoms

While performing an RCG Failover or Switchover, PS shows an alert: 

The RCG consistent image is too large to be consumed by the destination in one piece.

 

After performing a Switchover/Failover, the command completes successfully.

PS shows an alert on Source and Target systems:

There are no errors logged in the MDM show events (/opt/emc/scaleio/mdm/bin/showevents.py).

 

Impact

No impact

Cause

A false alert is shown by the PS when an RCG is in a Switchover/Failover state.

Resolution

If, after performing the Switchover/Failover, no errors are shown in the MDM show events, it is safe to ignore the alert.
