The screen may lock while still being present in front of the computer with the WAL setting enabled in the User Presence Detection [UPD] module with internal camera-based sensor on the computer.

In addition to user guide information, The WAL setting also triggers if the following conditions are met:

  • The user’s face is angled more than about 90 degrees away from the Vision-based sensor.
  • Facial landmarks are no longer detectable due to being covered (for example, facemask, sunglasses, facial hair, hands), poor lighting, or other factors.
  • When the face is off center, and not facing towards the sensor (From camera’s point of view it is out of boundary).
