PowerProtect: 자동 업데이트 설정이 비활성화된 상태로 업데이트된 VMware Protection Engine

PowerProtect Data Manager 어플라이언스는 vSphere 환경을 보호하는 데 사용됩니다. PowerProtect 19.20 릴리스 노트는 VM(Virtual Machine) Direct Engine을 독립적으로 업데이트할 수 있는 새로운 기능을 제공합니다.  

환경에서 PowerProtect 19.20이 실행되면 "InfrastructureProtection > Engines" 페이지에서 Automatic Update Settings를 비활성화할 수 있습니다. 기본값이 활성화되었습니다.

자동 업데이트 설정이 비활성화되고 환경이 PowerProtect 19.21.0-11로 업그레이드되었습니다. 업그레이드 후 VMware 가상 머신 보호 엔진이 19.21.0-11_1과 함께 자동으로 재배포(업그레이드)되었습니다.

이 upgrademgr.log는 Automatic update 설정이 감지되었고 업그레이드 모드가 DU(Disruptive Upgrade)이며 VM Direct Protection Engine의 업데이트가 필요했음을 보여줍니다.

VM Direct Protection Engine은 19.20.0-18로 유지될 것으로 예상됩니다.

Automatic 설정은 VMware Virtual Machine 및 Kubernetes의 지원되는 보호 유형에 대해 둘 이상의 VM Direct Engine이 있는 경우에만 적용할 수 있습니다. 지원되는 각 유형의 VM Direct Engine이 하나만 있는 경우 업그레이드 모드는 DU가 됩니다. DU 모드 워크플로는 PowerProtect Data Manager 서버 업데이트의 일부로 VM Direct 엔진을 업그레이드합니다. DU의 경우 PowerProtect 업그레이드 사전 검사는 VM Direct Engine이 업그레이드의 일부로 업데이트되었음을 나타내는 세부 정보를 제공합니다.

이는 단일 VM Direct Engine 배포에서 예상되는 동작입니다. 이 설명서는 단일 VM Direct Engine 시나리오를 명확히 하기 위해 향후 업데이트될 예정입니다.
