虛擬裝置 （VDEV） 是 SNAP 操作的目標，正被用作 IBM DFDSS 公用程式的輸入，以轉儲至磁帶。
錯誤訊息：
ADR735W (001)-T0MI (06), 2009.199 03:23:02 USE OF CONCURRENT COPY FAILED FOR VOLUME APFI55,014.
SERIALIZATION WILL BE HELD AND
ARC0640I ARCDVOL1 - CONCURRENT COPY WILL NOT BE USED
併發複製會嘗試在 DFDSS 操作的來源裝置上放入 00xx SNAP 工作階段。並行複製是 SNAP NOCOPY 作業。併發複製操作失敗。原因發佈在 適用於 z/OS V 10.2.0 的 TF/Clone 大型主機快照設施產品指南，第 90 頁：
"A virtual device (VDEV) cannot have a relation with any target device."
DFDSS 複製操作成功完成，允許將 VDEV 轉儲到磁帶。
但是，不使用併發複製。將發出返回代碼 4 以及作業的警告消息ADR735W。
