Data Protection Advisor (DPA): How to restart DPA servers in the proper sequence

Instructions
Use the bellow steps (in sequence) any time the DPA servers need to be stopped and restarted:
1) Stop services on the DPA Application server by using the following methods:
- From the command prompt, navigate to the following path:
<Install_dir>\EMC\DPA\services\bin
For Windows, run 'dpa app stop'.
For Linux, run 'dpa.sh app stop'.
Note - on Windows, you can also go to Task Manager, right-click 'DPA Application' and select Stop
2) Stop services on the Datastore server by using the following methods:
- From the command prompt, navigate to the following path:
<Install_dir>\EMC\DPA\services\bin
For Windows, run 'dpa ds stop'.
For Linux, run 'dpa.sh ds stop'.
Note - on Windows, you can also go to Task Manager, right-click 'DPA Datastore' and select Stop
3) Start up Datastore server FIRST by using the following methods:
- From the command prompt, navigate to the following path:
<Install_dir>\EMC\DPA\services\bin
For Windows, run 'dpa ds start'.
For Linux, run 'dpa.sh ds start'.
Note - on Windows, you can also go to Task Manager, right-click 'DPA Datastore' and select Start
4) Start up the Application server by using the following methods:
- From the command prompt, navigate to the following path:
<Install_dir>\EMC\DPA\services\bin
For Windows, run 'dpa app start'.
For Linux, run 'dpa.sh app start'.
Note - on Windows, you can also go to Task Manager, right-click 'DPA Application' and select Start.
5) Launch the DPA GUI to confirm the DPA servers have been restarted successful. If the Application Server has not fully restart the GUI will display a message stating DPA is starting up.

4) Start up the Application server by using the following methods:

For Linux, run 'dpa.sh app start'.
Note - on Windows, you can also go to Task Manager, right-click 'DPA Application' and select Start.
5) Launch the DPA GUI to confirm the DPA servers have been restarted successful. If the Application Server has not fully restart the GUI will display a message stating DPA is starting up.
