Instructions

  1. Run command:

    tasklist | findstr nsrd.exe
  2. Run command:

    dbgcommand -p <nsrd_pid_from_tasklist_output> debug=5
  3. Click in the NMC UI to preview the save sets > "Preview Save Set Selection" button

  4. Run command:

    dbgcommand -p <nsrd_pid_from_tasklist_output> debug=0
  5. Let the command run, notice that the "nsrclone -S -D 5 ..." is registered in the "Command line" in the task manager.

  6. The nsrclone.exe logs to \nsr\logs\clone.log, the nsrtask.exe logs to \nsr\logs\clone\____tmpClone_<NetWorker_server_name>_0_YYYYMMDDHHMMSS

  7. More messaging can be found in the daemon.raw which should also be nsr_render_log'ed for readability and proper date formatting.

 

Additional Information

This is applicable to NetWorker for Windows 8.x.

NetWorker 9 uses the \nsr\debug\nsrcloneconfig file with the addition of Debug=5 in the first line.
