Instructions

PURPOSE:

Determining the filesystem cleaning schedule and setting the schedule.

APPLIES TO:
  • All Data Domain systems

PROBLEM:

Cleaning is not running when expected because the schedule is set wrong.

SOLUTION:

  1. Connect to the DDOS command line through SSH or the serial console.

  2. Verify the status of cleaning: # filesys clean status

  4. Set the new schedule for cleaning as desired. For example, to run cleaning once per week on Tuesday at 0600, use this syntax: # filesys clean set schedule tue "06:00"

Further syntax instructions are in the command reference guide: PowerProtect and Data Domain core documents

  1. Verify you have set the schedule as desired:  # filesys clean show schedule

  2. Start a cleaning if desired: # filesys clean start
