Symptoms

VxRail: Host zit vast tijdens de upgrade om "Lifecycle Controller: Applying updates or setting system configuration"

Wanneer de host tijdens de upgrade in de onderhoudsmodus wordt gezet en opnieuw wordt opgestart, wordt deze niet opgestart en wordt het volgende scherm weergegeven:

Failed to upgrade: <upgrade file name>, with exception:
com.vce.lcm.exception.LCMException: Failed to reboot host <host name>.

Cause

Dit kan gebeuren wanneer een van de iDRAC-levenscyclustaken vastloopt.

Resolution

U kunt dit probleem oplossen door de levenscyclustaken opnieuw in te stellen. 
  1. Ga met SSH naar de iDRAC van het knooppunt en typ de onderstaande opdrachten:
racadm jobqueue delete -i JID_CLEARALL_FORCE
racadm set LifecycleController.LCAttributes.LifecycleControllerState 0
racadm set LifecycleController.LCAttributes.LifecycleControllerState 1
racadm racreset
  1. Reset het knooppunt vanuit de iDRAC-gebruikersinterface met Virtual Power Drain. (zie onderstaande figuur)

  1. Wacht tot de node wordt opgestart.
  2. Nadat het knooppunt is opgestart, mislukt de upgradetaak in de VxRail Manager-gebruikersinterface.
  3. Probeer de upgrade vanuit de gebruikersinterface opnieuw uit te voeren.

Additional Information
