Symptoms

Implementazione del failover di VMware SRM

L'utente non è in grado di eseguire un failover di VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) utilizzando RecoverPoint (RP).
VMware SRM ha inviato il comando di failover direttamente a RP.

Nota: In questo scenario, il controller ViPR non faceva parte della procedura di failover.
Non sono presenti eventi correlati nei log del controller ViPR.

4.1. Protection Group <protection group>    Error - Failed to recover datastore '<datastore name>'. VMFS volume residing on recovered devices '"<WWN of volume>"' cannot be found. Cause

La causa del problema è che le LUN di destinazione non sono state esportate nel cluster di destinazione.

 

Resolution

Soluzione alternativa:

  • Per facilitare un failover di SRM, assicurarsi in anticipo che le LUN di destinazione debbano essere esportate nel cluster di destinazione.
  • Ciò consente ai volumi di essere visualizzati dagli host ESXi durante la nuova scansione.
  • Questa operazione può essere eseguita utilizzando la voce del catalogo "Export Volume to a Host" nel controller VIPR.
