AppSync: VMAX3 arrays not displayed in 'Configure Storage Options'

Symptoms
When configuring storage options for the Create Copy phase of a Service Plan in the AppSync GUI, VMAX3 array(s) will not be displayed. 
Cause
Configure Storage Options for VMAX is designed to provide the Storage Pools for use by the Service Plan per page 57 of the AppSync 3.5 Users Guide.
Storage Pools are supported for VMAX2 only, therefor VMAX3 arrays will not be listed.
Resolution
This is an intentional design feature of AppSync .
