Symptoms

用户在目标阵列上多次收到以下错误：

The DNS client is unable to connect to name server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx :I/O error

 

Cause

  • 使用 NAS 服务器复制时，目标系统有时会错误地报告 DNS、NIS 或 LDAP 服务无法访问，修复程序在版本 4.2.1.9535982 中

  • Unity OE 代码 （4.2.1.9535982） 代码可用于执行升级

  • 还发现了另一种情况，即每次同步复制时，在源阵列上配置 CEPA 可能会在目标阵列上触发这些错误。在 5.0.2.x 之前的所有 Unity OE 代码版本中都可以看到此问题。该修复将在未来的 Unity OE 版本中实施

 

Resolution

解决方法 #1：

通过在源阵列上应用以下参数更改，抑制 DNS/LDAP/NIS 警报：

提醒：此解决方法当前不适用于配置 CEPA 并触发错误的情形。有关 CEPA 相关错误，请参阅下一个解决方法。

DNS：

svc_nas   -param -facility dns -modify suppressDnsStatus -value 1

NIS：

svc_nas   -param -facility nis -modify suppressNisStatus -value 1

LDAP:

svc_nas   -param -facility ldap -modify suppressLdapStatus -value 1

解决方法 #2：

如果 CEPA 被视为导致目标 NAS 服务器上出现 DNS 错误的因素，则此时禁止显示警报不起作用。要缓解错误，请将源阵列上的 NAS 服务器配置为使用 CEPA 服务器的 IP 地址。这就不需要名称解析。

  • 执行：tailf /EMC/C4Core/log/c4_safe_ktrace.log |grep “DNS 客户端无法连接到名称服务器”，并出现以下错误：
