Symptoms
DELL|EMC Manufacturing have found that certain releases of LCC 303-104-000E (25 drive LCC) may not display their Bus ID and/or their Loop ID correctly. The LCC front panel has a LED that is made up of 7 LED segments used for displaying digits pertaining to the DAE connectivity, however some of the LED segments may not display the correct digit or number when a segment fails. This can cause misidentification of the number being displayed, for example 8 may display as 0 if the middle led segment does not display.
Examples:
1. Blown Enclosure ID (should be ID 2)
2. Blown Enclosure ID (Should be 2)
3. Blown Enclosure ID (was 7 in this case)
4. Blown Loop ID (Should say 02)
Resolution
The faulty LED is only used during installation or troubleshooting and it does not impact I/O activity, however it may impact installation or future troubleshooting. If the issue is encountered at a customer site, please review and replace if needed.
