This article provides the steps to manually download the VMware Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint local scanning signature pack.

The VMware Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint sensor on Windows can use local scanning as an additional layer of malware prevention. Local scanning definitions can be updated from signature packs. These signature packs can be downloaded two different ways:

  • Through policy configuration, the endpoint can be configured to automatically download the signature packs from https://updates2.cdc.carbonblack.io.
  • Manually download the signature packs from the VMware Carbon Black Cloud.
  1. In a web browser, go to [REGION].conferdeploy.net.
Note: [REGION] = Region of tenant
  1. Sign In to the VMware Carbon Black Cloud.

  1. In the left menu pane, click ENDPOINTS.

  1. In the upper right, select Sensor Options and then click Download sensor kits.

  1. Select the appropriate VERSION then download on the associated Signature Archive.
