เมื่อต้องการลบ PowerPath ใน Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) ให้ทําตามขั้นตอนต่อไปนี้:

 
SLN86166_en_US__1Note หมายเหตุ:  ในการลบ PowerPath ผู้ใช้จะต้องเข้าสู่ระบบในฐานะรูท และแอปพลิเคชันทั้งหมดที่เข้าถึงไฟเบอร์อาร์เรย์จะต้องหยุดทํางาน
  1. ใช้โปรแกรมแก้ไขข้อความเปิดไฟล์ /etc/fstab
  2. แสดงความคิดเห็นบรรทัดใด ๆ ที่อ้างอิงถึงพาร์ติชันในระบบไฟล์ที่ใช้ SAN /etc/fstab โดยวางเครื่องหมายปอนด์ (#) ที่จุดเริ่มต้นของแต่ละบรรทัด
  3. ยกเลิกการต่อเชื่อมระบบไฟล์ที่ใช้ SAN ทั้งหมด โดยพิมพ์ข้อความต่อไปนี้ที่พรอมต์คําสั่ง:
    #umount/mount_point
    โดยที่ mount_point คืออุปกรณ์ SAN
  4. ลบอุปกรณ์ PowerPath ทั้งหมดโดยพิมพ์ข้อความต่อไปนี้ที่พรอมต์คําสั่ง:
    #powermt ลบ dev=all
  5. ตรวจสอบว่าอุปกรณ์ emcpower ทั้งหมดถูกลบออกโดยพิมพ์ข้อความต่อไปนี้ที่พรอมต์คําสั่ง:
    #powermt แสดง dev=ทั้งหมด
  6. หยุดบริการ PowerPath โดยพิมพ์ข้อความต่อไปนี้ที่พร้อมท์คําสั่ง:
    #service หยุด PowerPath
  7. ตรวจสอบชื่อแพคเกจ PowerPath โดยพิมพ์ข้อความต่อไปนี้ที่พรอมต์คําสั่ง:
    #rpm -qa | grep EMCpower
    ชื่อแพคเกจ PowerPath จะปรากฏขึ้น
  8. เอา PowerPath ออกจากเคอร์เนลที่ทํางานอยู่ โดยพิมพ์ข้อความต่อไปนี้ที่พรอมต์คําสั่ง:
    #rpm EMCPower.LINUX-xxxxxx
    โดยที่ EMCPower.LINUX-xxxx-xxx คือชื่อแพ็คเกจ PowerPath
  9. อัปเดต ramdisk เริ่มต้นโดยพิมพ์ต่อไปนี้ที่พรอมต์คําสั่ง
    #mkinitrd -v -f /boot/initrd-r 'uname -r'.img 'uname -r'
  10. พิมพ์ reboot ที่พรอมต์คําสั่ง
    โฮสต์รีบูต
