Kan ik de firmware op mijn bedrade Dell dock installeren zonder het dock uit en weer in te schakelen?

 

Ja, dat kan, de firmware van het dockingstation blijft op de docks Elektronisch uitwisbaar programmeerbaar EEPROM-geheugen (Programmable Read-Only Memory) voor onbepaalde tijd. Gedurendedeze periode kan de zalvingswaarde van de dokken echter worden verminderd. Dit komt doordat het wacht tot het dockingstation voor de eerste keer is uit- en weer ingeschakeld om de installatie te voltooien. 

Opmerking: Dit is de aanbevolen werkwijze die u moet volgen bij het installeren van de firmware op een bekabeld Dell dockingstation. Schakel het dock direct uit nadat de software-installatie is voltooid. Schakel vervolgens het dockingstation weer in om ervoor te zorgen dat het volledige functionaliteit biedt voor toekomstig gebruik.
