Symptoms

Brugere kan muligvis ikke PXE-starte med Dell Type-C til Ethernet-donglen. Symptomet er, at der ikke er angivet nogen PXE-indstilling i F12-startmenuen.

    Cause

    BIOS-konfiguration.

    Resolution

    Løsningen er at indstille systemet Fastboot til "Grundig" i BIOS.  Du kan finde indstillingerne på PostBehavior>Fastboot. Du kan finde detaljerede instruktioner om åbning og konfiguration af BIOS i systemmanualen, som kan downloades fra Dells supportwebsted: https://www.dell.com/support/home .

    Følgende yderligere konfigurationsændringer kan være nødvendige for at kunne PXE-starte korrekt afhængigt af miljøet:

    • PXE skal aktiveres under NIC
    • Nuværende systemer kræver, at UEFI-netværksstakken er aktiveret
    • IPV4 skal være aktiveret, og IPV6 skal deaktiveres (medmindre netværket er konfigureret til IPv6)
