Applies to:
- Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA) DP4400
- Dell PowerEdge R740 (14G platform)
- All supported IDPA software versions
Purpose:
To provide guidance on firmware upgrade procedures for the DP4400 platform.
Procedure:
- All required software and firmware updates for the DP4400 are included in bundled system software release packages.
- Do not apply component-level firmware updates (such as, BIOS, Disk, iDRAC, Network) independently unless explicitly instructed by IDPA Engineering.
- IDPA Engineering monitors and qualifies firmware updates for the underlying Dell server platform. Approved updates are in IDPA release bundles.
- If a firmware-related security vulnerability is identified, contact Dell Support for guidance and remediation.
