Symptoms

某些磁碟在升級至 PowerPath 6.0 後會標示為離線。

Cause

使磁碟連線或離線的是 Windows 功能，而非 PowerPath。

Resolution

使用者應執行下列步驟，以解決離線問題。 
san policy=onlineall

Windows 6.0 版的 Dell PowerPath 和 PowerPath/VE 系列版本資訊會將磁碟線上或離線行為作為 PowerPath 的限制：  

在 Windows Server 2008 及更新版本上，首次將磁碟新增至主機時，磁碟會標示為離線。
用戶必須手動啟用這些離線磁碟，然後才能使用它們。
若要避免此問題，請在 diskpart， san policy=onlineall 中執行下列命令。
此命令會將系統設定為讓新的 SAN 磁碟機保持連線。

Windows Server 2008 及更新版本和 Windows Server 2008 R2 的預設 SAN 原則為「離線共用」。
是 Windows 功能使磁碟連線/離線，因此上述限制令人困惑。

總之，從主機端新增並掃描實體磁碟，且 PowerPath 會控制虛擬裝置後，虛擬裝置會顯示為或進入離線狀態 （現有的線上磁碟會顯示為線上狀態）。

Change it using..

DISKPART> san policy=OnlineAll

DiskPart successfully changed the SAN policy for the current operating system.

then list the disks using..

DISKPART> LIST DISK

if any disk shows Offline, select that disk and clear the attributes.

DISKPART> select disk Disk#

Disk# is now the selected disk.

DISKPART> ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR READONLY

Disk attributes cleared successfully.

DISKPART> attributes disk
Current Read-only State : No
Read-only : No
Boot Disk : No
Pagefile Disk : No
Hibernation File Disk : No
Crashdump Disk : No
Clustered Disk : No

DISKPART> ONLINE DISK

DiskPart successfully onlined the selected disk.
  • 透過磁碟管理將磁碟狀態變更為線上。
POLICY=OnlineAll 可用於設定來解決此問題，但必須清楚的是，如果磁碟在伺服器之間共用，可能會導致資料損毀。我們鼓勵使用者使用適當的 SAN 原則來保護其資料。
