Cause

VMware 工程部門已判定此問題是由預先發生異常所造成，導致 SchedSysServiceContextPut（） 中發生隨機內容錯誤。

VMware 6.3、6.4 和 6.5 的 PowerPath/VE 的應用程式指紋功能發生問題，可能會導致搶佔異常。

 

Resolution

在內部進行故障診斷時，發現與應用程式指紋功能相關的 PowerPath/VE 問題。雖然我們不能 100% 確定這是使用者看到錯誤的原因，但作為預防措施，我們建議任何遇到此類錯誤的使用者禁用應用程式指紋功能。

因應措施 （僅在低於 Symmetrix 微碼 5978.221 以下時適用）：
停用應用程式指紋。

主意：
升級至 PowerPath/VE 7.0 P01 或更新版本，目前可在 Dell 支援網站下載。

若要確認該功能是否已啟用：

        Performance Monitor: disabled

        Autostandby:  IOs per Failure (iopf): enabled
                      iopf aging period     : 1 d
                      iopf limit            : 6000

                      reactive autorestore = on
                      auto host registration = enabled
                      app finger printing = enabled
                      device to array performance report = enabled

注意：
  • 此功能啟用/停用不需要在 ESXi 主機上進行任何維護活動，而且在重新開機後仍會持續存在。
  • 陣列端不需要進行與此功能相關聯的變更。
  • 此因應措施僅適用於低於 5978.221 的 Symmetrix 微碼。
  • 從 Symmetrix 微碼 5978.221 及更新版本開始，Symmetrix 上已啟用 I/O 標記，這會觸發 PowerPath/VE 瑕疵，造成 PSOD。
