Symptoms
ESXi version 7.0.2 build-17867351
PowerPath/VE 7.x
PowerPath Management Appliance (PPMA) 3.x
There have been different cases when these crashes occur:
An application (/bin/sfcbd) running on ESXi host has crashed (251 time(s) so far). A core file may have been created at /var/core/sfcb-vmware_bas-zdump.000.
--No impact on functionality or rpowermt commands/PPMA communication but there can be a situation with VMs getting into unresponsive/hung state.
--No impact but just these crashes get logged regularly.
This issue has also been observed in the ESXi version 7.0.2 build-17867351 (in this case)

Cause
As per VMWare KB:78046
SFCB runs out of memory due to memory leaks in sfcb vmware-base process.
As per VMware, they recommend to disable WBEM service as a work-around of the issue but if the WBEM service is disabled then ESXi hosts wouldn't be able to communicate with PPMA and won't be able to run any rpowermt commands either.

Resolution
As per VMware, it is stated:
This issue is resolved in vSphere ESXi 6.7 Patch ESXi 670-202011002, but the issue still seems to be triggering in the future release (7.0.2 in this case) and hence it should be checked with VMware as why the fix hasn't been carried out to the future release if it was fixed in the release ESXi 6.7 Patch ESXi 670-202011002.
This is not PowerPath issue but a VMware issue and hence should be checked with VMware.
