Symptoms
The following example CLI command with Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) 10.3 and older may fail:
omconfig system alertaction event=watchdogasr execappath='/usr/sbin/om_alerts.sh’
The following error results:Error! XML Transformation failed.
The OMSA web UI is not affected by this issue.
Cause
OMSA has an XML parser error when encountering forward slashes with the execappath option.
Resolution
Dell Engineering will address this in a future OSMA release.
In the meantime, use backward slashes for the path (example: execappath=’\usr\bin\om_alerts.sh’).
