Dell Unity: Herkömmlicher Pool kann nicht über Unisphere erstellt werden ODER RAID 5 oder 10 beim Erstellen eines Pools über Unisphere nicht verfügbar

In diesem Fall wurde auf dem Unity-Array OE 5.2 ausgeführt und alle NL-SAS-Laufwerke waren im Array vorhanden.

Beim Versuch, einen Pool über Unisphere zu erstellen, ist nur RAID 6 verfügbar (RAID 5 und RAID 10 sind nicht verfügbar).

Das Unity-Array funktioniert wie vorgesehen.

In der Dell Unity-OE-Version 4.2 und höher ist ein dynamischer Pool der einzige Pooltyp, der in Unisphere für ein All-Flash-System erstellt werden kann. Dies gilt auch für Hybridsysteme mit OE-Version 5.2 und höher. Zum Erstellen eines herkömmlichen Pools müssen Sie die Unisphere CLI oder REST API verwenden. Außerdem ist bei der Erstellung eines dynamischen Pools mit NL-SAS-Laufwerken nur RAID 6 zulässig, wenn Unisphere verwendet wird.

Ein herkömmlicher Pool kann über die CLI mithilfe der folgenden Befehle erstellt werden:

1) uemcli /stor/config/profile -traditional -configurable show    <- Shows the profiles available in the system

3) uemcli -d <IP Address> -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional           <- Command to create a traditional Pool (we use 45 of the 47 drives to leave 2 for spares)

Note: This command is run from a workstation with Unity uemcli installed.
Alternately the command can be run directly on the SP via an SSH connection:

uemcli -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional
