Symptoms
In deze situatie werd op de Unity array OE 5.2 uitgevoerd en waren alle NL-SAS-schijven aanwezig in de array.
Wanneer u een pool probeert te maken vanuit Unisphere, is alleen RAID 6 beschikbaar (RAID 5 en RAID 10 zijn niet beschikbaar).

Cause
De Unity-array werkt volgens het ontwerp.
In Dell Unity OE versie 4.2 en hoger is een dynamic pool het enige groepstype dat in Unisphere kan worden gemaakt voor een all-flash systeem. Dit geldt ook voor hybride systemen met OE-versie 5.2 en hoger. Voor het maken van een traditionele pool moet u de Unisphere CLI- of REST-API gebruiken. Bij het maken van een dynamische pool met NL-SAS-schijven is ook alleen RAID 6 toegestaan bij gebruik van Unisphere.

Een traditionele pool kan worden gemaakt vanuit de CLI met behulp van de onderstaande opdrachten
1) uemcli /stor/config/profile -traditional -configurable show <- Shows the profiles available in the system ID = tprofile_2 Type = Traditional Description = SAS Flash RAID5 (8+1) Drive type = SAS Flash RAID level = 5 Maximum capacity = 18510768046080 (16.8T) Stripe length = 9 Disk group = dg_26 Maximum drives to configure = 45 Maximum capacity to configure = 14834210439168 (13.4T)
2) uemcli /stor/config/dg show <- Shows the Disk Groups available in the system ID = dg_26 Drive type = SAS Flash 3 FAST Cache = no Drive size = 393846128640 (366.7G) Vendor size = 400.0G Rotational speed = 0 rpm Number of drives = 47 Unconfigured drives = 47 Capacity = 18510768046080 (16.8T) Recommended number of spares = 0
3) uemcli -d <IP Address> -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional <- Command to create a traditional Pool (we use 45 of the 47 drives to leave 2 for spares) Note: This command is run from a workstation with Unity uemcli installed. Alternately the command can be run directly on the SP via an SSH connection: uemcli -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional
