Symptoms

У цій ситуації масив Unity працював під управлінням оригінального обладнання 5.2 і в масиві були присутні всі диски NL-SAS.

При спробі створити пул з Unisphere доступний тільки RAID 6 (RAID 5 і RAID 10 недоступні).

Cause

Масив Unity працює відповідно до дизайну.

У Dell Unity OE версії 4.2 і пізніших динамічний пул є єдиним типом пулу, який можна створити в Unisphere для системи all-flash. Крім того, це справедливо для гібридних систем під управлінням OE версії 5.2 і вище. Створення традиційного пулу вимагає використання Unisphere CLI або REST API. Також при створенні динамічного пулу з дисками NL-SAS допускається використання тільки RAID 6 при використанні Unisphere.

Традиційний пул можна створити з CLI за допомогою наведених нижче команд 
1) uemcli /stor/config/profile -traditional -configurable show    <- Shows the profiles available in the system

3) uemcli -d <IP Address> -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional           <- Command to create a traditional Pool (we use 45 of the 47 drives to leave 2 for spares)

Note: This command is run from a workstation with Unity uemcli installed.
Alternately the command can be run directly on the SP via an SSH connection:

uemcli -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional
