Symptoms

During a scheduled Oracle backup, the following message is logged in to the policy logs from the backup server: 
Unable to find any full backups of the saveset in the media database. Recommending that a full backup be performed.
The backup runs and completes successfully despite the warning message reported in the policy log or NMC Workflow shows message.

This message appears when the backup action is configured to use Incr, log, or archive backup levels.

Cause

The backup level is set to INCR, log, or archive in the backup action. However, the backup level is determined in the Oracle RMAN script.

Resolution

This message can be ignored, or set the backup action to level FULL:
