Symptoms
During the processing of Geographically Dispersed Disaster Restart (GDDR) script P17A, the user encountered an issue with script 17A whose process is to stop processing at DC3. The script issued a CGRP trip, and the interaction with MSC seemed to cause one of the MSC legs to stop cycle switching in the middle of a cycle. The user had to issue a manual MSC PENDDROP outside of the script, to get the script to continue.
Cause
Primary MSC server should recognize the ConGroup trip event by seeing the SRDF/A group for MSCx in an unavailable state and do the needed action such as dropping the session.
Resolution
Workaround:
- Issue an MSC PENDDROP to the cascaded leg.
