Symptoms
Cluster deployment validation warning: Azure ApplicationID does not have sufficient permissions on the Subscription level.


Cause
The reported application does not have sufficient permissions on Azure portal.
Resolution
Please follow the deployment guide.
Ensure that you have assigned the following built-in roles directly to the service principal in Azure subscription level:
- Azure Stack HCI Administrator
- Reader
- Azure Resource Bridge Deployment
Ensure that you have assigned the following built-in roles directly to the service principal in Azure resource group level (create the resource group if needed):
- Key Vault Administrator
- Key Vault Contributor
- Storage Account Contributor
If you confirm that your service principal has been correctly configured with above permissions, you can safely ignore this warning and continue with the cluster deployment.
