Symptoms

Selhává zálohování s chybami:

Unable to create snapshot. Unable to take a snapshot for virtual machine 'vm-24655' after multiple retry attempts. An error occurred while quiescing the virtual machine. See the virtual machine's event log for details.


Kontrola protokolů událostí virtuálního počítače neukazuje žádné relevantní chyby.

Virtual Machines vmware.log zobrazuje:

[msg.snapshot.quiesce.startfail] Failed to start quiescing operation in the virtual machine.


Testování snímku se sadou hostovaného souborového systému Quiesce proběhne úspěšně, ale zobrazí se zpráva Ztišit systém hostovaných souborů = Ne.
 

Cause

Problém je mimo PPDM. Určitý druh interakce mezi nástroji VMware Tools a hostovaným operačním systémem.

Resolution

Odinstalujte a znovu nainstalujte nástroje VMware Tools na virtuálním počítači.

Otestujte snapshot a ujistěte se, že "Quietesce Guest File System" = Ano.

Nyní by mělo být možné dokončit zálohování.
