Symptoms

백업이 실패하고 다음 오류가 발생합니다.

Unable to create snapshot. Unable to take a snapshot for virtual machine 'vm-24655' after multiple retry attempts. An error occurred while quiescing the virtual machine. See the virtual machine's event log for details.


가상 머신 이벤트 로그를 검토하면 관련 오류가 표시되지 않습니다.

Virtual Machines vmware.log에는 다음이 표시됩니다.

[msg.snapshot.quiesce.startfail] Failed to start quiescing operation in the virtual machine.


Quiesce Guest 파일 시스템이 설정된 스냅샷 테스트가 성공적으로 완료되지만 Quiesce Guest File System = No가 표시됩니다.
 

Cause

문제가 PPDM 외부에 있습니다. VMware Tools와 게스트 OS 간의 일종의 상호 작용입니다.

Resolution

가상 머신에서 VMware Tools를 제거하고 다시 설치합니다.

스냅샷을 테스트하고 Quiesce Guest File System = Yes를 확인합니다.

이제 백업을 완료할 수 있습니다.
