Symptoms
备份失败，并显示：
Unable to create snapshot. Unable to take a snapshot for virtual machine 'vm-24655' after multiple retry attempts. An error occurred while quiescing the virtual machine. See the virtual machine's event log for details.
检视虚拟机事件日志未发现相关错误。
虚拟机vmware.log显示：
[msg.snapshot.quiesce.startfail] Failed to start quiescing operation in the virtual machine.
使用静默来宾文件系统集测试快照成功完成，但显示 静默来宾文件系统 = 否。
Cause
此问题不在 PPDM 范围内。VMware Tools 和来宾操作系统之间的某种交互。
Resolution
在虚拟机上卸载并重新安装 VMware Tools。
测试快照并确保 Quiesce Guest File System = Yes。
备份现在应该能够完成。
