Cause

De hoofdoorzaak van dit probleem is te wijten aan de functie "Force protocol encryption" die is ingeschakeld op de SQL Native Client-configuratie onder SQL Server Configuration Manager.


De instelling "Force Protocol Encryption" op de SQL Server dwingt het gebruik van SSL-versleuteling af.
SSL-versleuteling vereist dat een uitwisselingscertificaat dat is uitgegeven door een vertrouwde certificeringsinstantie (CA) beschikbaar is op deze machine. 
Zonder dit certificaat mislukt de verbinding.

Resolution

Voer de onderstaande stappen uit om het probleem op te lossen:

  1. Open de SQL Server Configuration Manager
  2. Klik met de rechtermuisknop op SQL Native Client 11.0 Configuration en selecteer Eigenschappen.
  3. Stel de waarde Force Protocol Encryption in op Nee en selecteer OK.
  4. Voer dezelfde stappen uit voor de SQL Native Client 11.0 configuratie (32-bits) configuratie
  5. Start de SQL Server opnieuw op
  6. Controleer of het probleem is opgelost zodra de SQL-server actief is.
