Instructions

There are two options to manage local users and groups on a standalone NAS server. On the Windows domain controller, MMC or the cmdkey command can be used.

If using 'cmdkey' command, the NetBIOS name of the NAS server must be used.
Errors will occur if you attempt to connect using an IP address.

To add a user to a standalone NAS server:
cmdkey /add:<standalone_NAS_server_NetBIOS_name> /user:<New_User> /pass:<yourpassword>
