NetWorker: Changes made is not reflected in the rap log

Symptoms

The NetWorker server /nsr/logs/rap.log logs all configuration changes on the NetWorker server. What and when changes were made, and by whom. It is observed that some configuration changes made are not reflected in the rap.log when the NetWorker server is 19.10.0.3, 19.9.0.6, and prior.
  • For example, change the configuration for workflow, but are not shown up in the rap.log
  • Following error reported in daemon.raw
nsrd RAP error Unable to process difference between the policy definition JSONs. 

Linux: /nsr/logs/daemon.raw
Windows: [Install Drive]:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\logs\daemon.raw

Cause

This issue was raised to NetWorker engineering.

Resolution

Code fixes were applied in NetWorker versions 19.9.0.7 and 19.10.0.4.
Upgrade your NetWorker server to one of the above versions (or later) for improved rap logging.
