Symptoms

アップグレードが10%で失敗し、エラー:

Error: null Details: PartnerUpgradeActionDetail(action=Failed to upload bundle: D1JM1_VxRail-8.0.200-Composite-Upgrade-Slim-Package-for-7.0.x.zip., message= Please refer to KB000062924 article.)ERROR:PartnerUpgradeActionDetail(action=Failed to upload bundle: D1JM1_VxRail-8.0.200-Composite-Upgrade-Slim-Package-for-7.0.x.zip., message=Failed to upload bundle: D1JM1_VxRail-8.0.200-Composite-Upgrade-Slim-Package-for-7.0.x.zip: null. Cause

最初の原因:

  • アップグレードされたWLDドメインのvCenterで問題が見つかりました。
  • ヒープ メモリーが不足しているため、vsphere-uiサービスがクラッシュしていました

    Javaメモリー不足エラー
  • /var/log/vmware/vsphere-ui/logs/vsphere-ui-runtime.log.stoutで、次の手順を実行します。 
    Dumping heap to /var/log/vmware/vsphere-ui/java_pid240884.hprof ...
Heap dump file created [968706533 bytes in 3.764 secs]
Terminating due to java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
  • 次のコマンドを使用してvSphere UIのヒープ メモリーを確認します。 
    cloudvm-ram-size -l
    ヒープ メモリの確認

第2の問題:

  • クラスター内の最初のノードのディスク グループが見つかりませんでした
  • 最初の問題によりディスク グループを追加できません

 

Resolution

  • 次のコマンドを使用して、ヒープ メモリーを2500に増やしました。 
    cloudvm-ram-size -C 2048 vsphere-ui
  • vCenterの問題を解決した後、欠落しているディスク グループを追加しました
  • アップグレードが正常に進行しました
