Symptoms

Registrering af PowerProtect Data Manager-agent (PPDM) mislykkes med fejlen "ABV0025: VM Direct-programmet kan ikke konfigurere beskyttelsen af den virtuelle maskine 'hostname.company_name.com' på vCenter 'xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxx.xxx'."


Helpdesk medarbejdernes tjenestelogfiler indeholder fejlmeddelelser i stil med følgende:

Cause

Det fuldt kvalificerede domænenavn (FQDN) for klientværten indeholder en understregning. Understregning er ikke tilladt i det fuldt kvalificerede domænenavn til anmodninger om certifikatsignering.

Resolution

Produktet fungerer i henhold til designet.
Underskrivelse og udstedelse af certifikater for domænenavne med understregning er imod sikkerhedspraksis.
