Cause

Zařízení PowerProtect používá k provádění některých interních funkcí databázi PostgreSQL. Došlo k problému s vyčerpáním paměti, protože příliš mnoho procesů Postgres běželo a zahltilo soubor /var/log/messages opakovanými položkami procesu jádra. V jednom případě zařízení PowerProtect využívalo 15 GB paměti 422 procesů Postgres. Podmínka Postgres způsobila, že soubor /var/log/messages spotřeboval zbývající místo na disku (příklad 11G) za ~14 hodin.

Resolution

Problém PostgreSQL byl vyřešen ve verzi PowerProtect Data Manager 19.16.0-15 nebo novější. Nainstalujte nejnovější verzi nástroje PowerProtect Data Manager, která problém vyřeší a zabrání plnému využití kořenového oddílu. 

Nejnovější dostupné verze jsou k dispozici na stránce Ovladače a soubory ke stažení nástroje PowerProtect Data Manager .

Alternativní řešení
Odstraňte stávající zprávy /var/log/a restartujte zařízení PowerProtect, aby se uvolnilo místo na disku spotřebované souborem.
