Symptoms

When special characters, such as "${", are used as a username to log in to the user interface, it can cause issues, as displayed in the examples below.

Audit logs display the error message: "No response was received from the Storage Controller."

Cause

The error is an expected response when using a combination of "${" characters in the username.

Resolution

  1. Do not use combinations of "${" characters as the username.
  2. The error message can be dismissed. Review audit logs using the Command-Line Interface (CLI) <show audit-log>. The error will be cleared once the audit logs rotate after 500 entries.
