  • Synchronous Replications showing Health status: "This replication session has encountered an error. Try pausing, and then resuming the replication session. If the problem persists, delete, and then create the replication session again."
  • Synchronous Replications showing Health status: "While the replication session is syncing, the source storage resource is not synchronously protected. Wait until the syncing of the replication session completes."

Cause

Such situations can occur when the file systems go offline.

In this scenario, there were many errors on replication. Current replication sessions were in a non-recoverable state with events found on the EMCSystemLogFile.log as -- "Image 50xxx160c9xxx272 of the synchronous mirror with ID 50xxx160xxx032dc:1xxxxx000xxxxxx0 has been admin fractured."

 

Resolution

  • Pause and Resume Replication.
  • If the issue persists, we must re-create the replication.
  • Delete and create the replication sessions which are having an issue.
