Das BIOS-Setup eines Dell Pro Plus 16 PB16250 meldet Mobilfunkgerät: Keine, wenn der Computer über keinen WWAN-Kartenanschluss verfügt.

Cause

Das BIOS kann den WWAN-Steckplatz selbst nicht erkennen, sondern nur den WWAN-Status vom integrierten Controller. Aus diesem Grund führen die folgenden beiden Bedingungen dazu, dass das Mobilfunkgerät"Keine" meldet:

  • Platinen mit einem WWAN-Steckplatz und ohne angeschlossene WWAN-Karte
  • Platinen ohne WWAN-Steckplatz

Resolution

Dabei handelt es sich um erwartetes Verhalten. Das Dell Pro Plus 16 PB16250 verfügt nicht über einen WWAN-Steckplatz. Das BIOS erkennt nicht, ob ein Steckplatz vorhanden ist, sondern nur, wenn eine WWAN-Karte installiert ist.
