PowerProtect Cyber Recovery: Message that file system with DDOS version higher than 8.2 requires a restart

Summary: After upgrade to Cyber Recovery version 19.18 or 19.19, there is a message that one DD file system with DDOS higher than 8.2 requires a restart.

Symptoms

After upgrade to Cyber Recovery version 19.18 or 19.19. the following message is shown on the Infrastructure > Storage tab:

DDFS restart message

Even after the Data Domain File System is restarted, the message is still present.

Cause

This is a new feature since Cyber Recovery 19.18 and DD OS higher than 8.2.

For deployments that run DD OS 8.2 or later, deleted MTrees are not counted towards the active MTree limit. This feature allows the Cyber Recovery software to support more policies running analyze and recovery check operations.

Resolution

Cyber Recovery monitors the status of a Data Domain once every 24 hours.

The message will clear automatically after 24 hours.
