Symptoms

La operación de adición del dispositivo falló debido a errores de I/O.

La adición fallida apareció en los registros de MDM de la siguiente manera:

Impacto 

No se puede agregar un dispositivo, la capacidad se reduce.

Cause

El seguimiento de SDS muestra que la operación de adición de dispositivos falla con errores de I/O debido a que el disco no responde o es lento:

/var/log/messages mostró que el controlador HBA tuvo problemas con el disco, anulaciones y tiempos de espera agotados:

Resolution

Después de reemplazar el hardware defectuoso, revise todas las unidades (incluida la unidad raíz: satadom):

  1. Puesta a cero del primer MB de la unidad
  2. Reinicie el proceso de SDS en SVM
  3. Valide que la unidad funcione sin errores y se cifre en CloudLink
  4. Agregar al pool de almacenamiento
