Symptoms

使用 PowerProtect Data Manager UI 集中式還原以還原 SQL 系統資料庫失敗，並出現下列錯誤：

8 ddbmsqlrc PowerProtect Data Manager critical The tail of the log for the database "model" has not been backed up. Use BACKUP LOG WITH NORECOVERY to backup the log if it contains work you do not want to lose. Use the WITH REPLACE or WITH STOPAT clause of the RESTORE statement to just overwrite the contents of the log.

雖然從系統資料庫的 SQL Management Studio 附掛程式還原Microsoft則運作正常。 

 

Cause

這是依照設計，因為從 SQL Management Studio 附掛程式還原時Microsoft包含「With Replace」 

ddbmsqlrc PowerProtect Data Manager info RESTORE database [model] FROM virtual_device='EMC#6b9e7ed7-77fd-42d6-b6c4-7aee3f5e8fdf', virtual_device='EMC#6b9e7ed7-77fd-42d6-b6c4-7aee3f5e8fdf_2', virtual_device='EMC#6b9e7ed7-77fd-42d6-b6c4-7aee3f5e8fdf_3', virtual_device='EMC#6b9e7ed7-77fd-42d6-b6c4-7aee3f5e8fdf_4' WITH replace, maxtransfersize = 4194304, norecovery

不過，集中式還原不包括「使用替換」  

RESTORE database [model] FROM virtual_device='EMC#98acba21-936a-4690-87b8-e1aaafdb3d4c', virtual_device='EMC#98acba21-936a-4690-87b8-e1aaafdb3d4c_2', virtual_device='EMC#98acba21-936a-4690-87b8-e1aaafdb3d4c_3', virtual_device='EMC#98acba21-936a-4690-87b8-e1aaafdb3d4c_4'  WITH maxtransfersize = 4194304'

Resolution

PowerProtect Data Manager 代理程式 19.21 版本將提供包含「使用替換」以集中還原系統資料庫的修正。
