Cause

Dit probleem doet zich voor omdat het push-telemetrieproces een buitensporig aantal aanvragen met unieke ID's verzendt, wat resulteert in het maken van veel bestanden in de "/var/log/vmware/analytics/prod" directory. Soms heeft dit geleid tot een accumulatie van 185.000 tot 375.000 bestanden.

Resolution

  1. Maak verbinding met de bron-vCenter-server via SSH
  2. Voer de volgende opdracht uit om het aantal bestanden te controleren dat is gemaakt op de vCenter-server als gevolg van het push-telemetrieproces: ls /var/log/vmware/analytics/prod | wc -l
  3. Download de cleaning_vddk_script.sh script uit het gedeelte Bijlagen van dit artikel.
  4. Upload het script naar vCenter en wijs uitvoeringsmachtigingen toe met deze opdracht: chmod +x cleaning_vddk_script.sh
  5. Voer het script uit: ./cleaning_vddk_script.sh
  6. Start de upgrade opnieuw vanaf de VxRail plugin.
