Instructions

If enabling data-at-rest encryption on Data Domain with this command:

filesys encryption enable

No changes are needed in PowerProtect Data Manager.
If Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140 is enabled on Data Domain, some configuration changes are needed in PowerProtect Data Manager.
Download the PowerProtect Data Manager "Security Configuration Guide" for your PowerProtect Data Manager version after logging in with your Dell user account.
See the section titled 'FIPS' in Appendix B for details.
