- The SAP client resource was created with one of the secondary interfaces' hostname.
- Backup fails with "Unable to obtain user credential lockbox due to authentication denied."
nsrsapsvlog does not get created on the client side under /nsr/applogs.
Cause
Conflict between the NetWorker client resource name and the actual hostname on the client machine.
Resolution
- Delete the client resource from the NetWorker server and the lockbox.
In the NMC user interface, go to Protection tab to delete the client.
Delete the lockbox in Server tab - Lockboxes.
- Create the client resource using the main hostname of the client machine. Provide the required information in the next windows to complete the client configuration.

- Retry the backup.
