AppSync: AppSync not sending a REST API command to forget the logical-unit resulting errors in VPLEX

Symptoms

Customer will see below errors in VPLEX GUI:

At the same time frame will see AppSync service plan and unmount phase is success. 
In server log, we wont see AppSync sending the below API to forget the logical unit in VPLEX

<Date & Time> executeRequest: executing POST: POST https://<VPLX Server IP/Name>/vplex/logical-unit+forget HTTP/1.1
<Date & Time> executeRequest: Response Status Line: HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    
But will see AppSync claiming that it completed the operation to forget all logical units from VPLEX

Cause

In AppSync 4.2 due to a Code Bug AppSync not sending the REST API to forget all logical unit if not getting appropriate storage volume details from get-storage-volume-info call on which the forget logical-unit request depends.  
 

Resolution

A hotfix exist to address this issue. Call in support quoting this KB article to obtain the hotfix.
