Symptoms

Customer receives alert "DAE X Y has not been connected correctly. It may be temporary if the DAE is being connected, or a Link Control Card (LCC) is being inserted to the DAE." Alert clears after a few minutes. However, no maintenance work is being performed on the DAE.

SP logs for one SP show all disks in the DAE (and potentially downstream DAEs) as offline and SAS port status changes to down. A minute or so later status of all components returned to normal.

Cause

LCC rebooted for an unknown reason.

 

Resolution

This is a rare occurrence, and the reboot has corrected any software issue. If the reboot does occur again, open a new SR. A repeat occurrence may indicate a hardware issue.
